Shortlist announced for Lower Thames Crossing tunnel contract
Highways England has announced the three joint ventures shortlisted for its £2.3bn contract to build the Lower Thames Crossing road tunnel.
As Lower Thames Crossing executive director Matt Palmer confirmed, “The Lower Thames Crossing is the most ambitious road project this country has seen since the M25 was completed 35 years ago. This contract shows our commitment to this project, which will support 22,000 jobs during its construction and provide a huge economic boost to the UK economy when it opens for traffic.”
A call to action for recruiters and candidates alike.
Importantly also, the good news continues with the commitment from Highways England to achieve their ambition of making the Lower Thames Crossing the most environmentally sustainable road project delivered in the UK.
Confirmation again, that sustainability and profit can be effective partners where there’s determination to deliver both.
